Christmas...only 3 months late

I decided to finally post a few of the pictures from Christmas! Pulling the bowls out of the cupboard is still one of his favorite things to do.

He was obsessed with this candy cane for about two weeks, until I finally threw it away.

I don't know what I said here to get this sort of response from Ben's parents and Lincoln.
Yes, I was this excited to get toilet brush holders to match my upstairs bathrooms.

Lincoln with all his loot! But he didn't care about any of it unless he could stick it in his mouth. I am glad he has moved out of this phase.

Lincoln turned ONE!

Last month Lincoln turned ONE! We had a birthday party for him that night with family and few friends. I can't believe my little baby is already one. This year went by way too quickly. (He is blowing kisses in this picture)

Lincoln got his own piece of pizza and he was very excited!

His favorite gift was this workbench from Grandma and Grandpa Jones.

When I tried to make him open his next gift, he was confused why we took his workbench away from him when he just started playing with it.

Then when other kids started to play with it, the crying began.

He got his workbench back and shared it with his friend Izzi.

He loved his cupcake, even if every picture we have says differently.

Jed, Jill, Shelby and Taylor were there.

So was his friend Harry. Harry's parents and sister were there also, but we didn't get a good picture of all of them.

Travis, Emily and Elise came, but Elise was busy playing with the toys during picture time.

Ben's Aunt Sally and Uncle Joe with there also. Lincoln loves Sally and Joe, and they love him.

Ben's parents were there also, but for some reason we didn't get a picture of them either.

New Crib

This is the fifth time I have tried to post these pictures! Lincoln finally got a crib! Okay, this was about two months ago. He has been sleeping in a Pack and Play, which actually I would have kept doing but you can't pass up a good deal on a crib. Here is the Photo Shoot of his first experience in a crib. PS - He had a haircut the day after we took these pictures, so he looks less homeless now.

Halloween

I didn't take any pictures of Lincoln on Halloween, so I was going to force him back into his costume today for a photo shoot. Ben's mom just posted these on Facebook, so it looks like I won't have to anymore.

New Shoes

I have been meaning to buy Lincoln shoes for a couple of weeks, but have never gotten around to it. The other day he was at Grandma Jones and when I went to pick him up he had new shoes. Lincoln is lucky to have two wonderful grandmas, and even luckier that one lives so close. She has supplied him with 3/4 of his current wardrobe.

Lincoln has been able to crawl backwards for about three weeks, and on Tuesday night he finally started moving forward also. Since that time I have realized everything in our house needs to be babyproofed and that my shower routine needs to change. I got out of the shower one day to find he had opened the cupboard, taken out the shaving cream, taken off the lid, and was sucking on the nozzle. The next day he crawled over to the toilet, pulled himself up on his knees, and was licking the toilet seat. Apparently the toy blockade is no match for his new found skills. I would just wait for his nap, but both times I was trying to get ready before his nap so he could take it at Grandmas while I ran into work. I guess it is time to trap him in his crib. In spite of all the added drama his crawling has created, I am so excited for him. You can tell he is so proud of himself and he loves to be able to get around. Well, you can't tell that in this picture but he still looks cute.

Random Picture

I was planning on blogging some pictures of Lincoln tonight, but I couldn't get the pictures to upload to the computer. Since Ben isn't home, and to appease my mom and sister, here is a picture courtesy of my cell phone. Usually Lincoln eats and then we put him to bed while he is still awake, but tonight he fell asleep while I was burping him. Is there anything sweeter than a cuddling a sleeping baby?

House Pictures Finally!

Finally!!! I am sorry it has taken so long to post these, but not having internet makes it difficult to post pictures. We don't have pictures of Lincoln's bedroom because he is asleep in there everytime I think to take pictures. Also our office isn't complete yet, so there are no pictures of that. I have included the Before picture of each room so you can see what it used to look like.
The shelf that Ben's parents made for our dining room. We are all ready for Halloween.

We haven't really done much to the downstairs yet, but maybe next year. We need to take a remodeling break for a while.
