Christmas Vacation

Ben and I went to Bakersfield this Christmas and had a wonderful time. The baby scored the best presents. He got a "Pack N Play" and a rug from my parents. Isn't the rug the cutest? Please ignore the round purple person in the background.

The best part of Christmas morning was when the Bucks came over to open presents. Kids make Christmas so much more fun. I love this picture cause Jason is so excited and Madison has the best look of disbelief.

A few days later we went to Hearst Castle. It was the home of William Randolph Hearst back in the day and now you can take tours of it.

I found the perfect design for the indoor pool I want in my house.

Afterwards we took Ben to Morro Bay, which is a town we vacationed to a lot when I was a kid. I took Ben around to all my favorite shops from when I was younger, and being grown up seemed to take the fun out of it. One place we always had to go was a shop that had seals in a back room that you could feed. I don't know why PETA hasn't shut them down. It was very depressing and I don't think I ever want to go back there. The rest of Morro Bay was great though.

Next we drove down to Solvang, which is a Danish town in the middle of California. All the buildings have to have that Danish look to them.

We shopped around and ate some pastries, which is the main reason to go there.

The best part was getting to spend some time with these two.

Finally Another Post

Don't worry, I am aware I am a horrible blogger. I like to think that once I have this baby I will be a lot better. We had a great Christmas and I will be blogging about it with pictures sometime in the near future, but until then I thought I would let you know we are still alive. Today is a great day! This morning I woke up (which that alone usually puts me in a bad mood) and just felt like today was going to be a good day. Then when I left for work I ran into the best thing in the world...FOG! Fog is my favorite weather. I don't even know if I am saying that correctly, or if fog counts as a type of weather. I think it must have something to do with growing up in Bakersfield and having fog delays from school. Hopefully everyone else is having a good day too.
