Salt Lake City

Ben and I decided to go on vacation again, but since we didn't have any time off and we had to be at church on Sunday we vacationed in Salt Lake City. We had a great time. We stayed at the Hotel Monaco, which was a great hotel. We didn't take this picture but it is exactly what our room looked like.

Ben has been promising to take me to The Melting Pot for almost 2 years, so he made true to his promise. I loved it, all of the food was so good. I don't know if I would ever go there again for the whole four course meal, but I would definitely do the cheese and dessert part again.
The next morning we went Antiquing which is a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. Then we went to the Red Iguana which has the best Mexican food ever. After that we went and saw the movie UP. We had the best weekend. I think it was more relaxing than actually going out of town since you don't have to worry about catching flights or driving too long of a distance.

Our New Car!

Well it is an old car, but new to us. We are proud owners of this beautiful 1967 VW Bug. These pictures were taken about two months ago and it looks a lot better now. The wheels are black now instead of the lovely white with rust look.

Also the back bumper is replaced with a shiny newer one. Some guy paid Ben $20 for the old bumper. I will have Ben take new pictures so you can see what a gem she has turned into.

HAWAII

Ben and I went to Hawaii a month ago, and after much peer pressure I have decided to post some pictures.

We went to a Luau and had bought this nifty smoothie in a pineapple.

We met up with out friend Bob in Maui. He was nice enough to let us stay with his whole extended family for a night.

We hung out on some lava rock in Maui. There were turtles in the water, but you couldn't see them in the pictures we took.

We saw a lot of beautiful scenery, like this picture here.

Here we are at a Buddhist temple in the middle of a cemetery.

Hawaii was full of cool cars like these. Notice that the Bug has grass growing through it. Plus look forward to an exciting post in a couple of days about a new VW adventure.

At the PCC we saw some kids climbing a tree.

And were entertained by this guy.

Here is some more beautiful scenery.

But the best part was getting to see this cute little boy, oh and Stephanie and Thomas. We realized once we got home that this is the only picture we took of him while we were there, but you can check out Stephs blog for more cute pictures of him.
