Scrabble

Ben and I like to play Scrabble against each other on Facebook. Tonight we were playing a pretty evenly tied game, when I made a fatal error at the end. I made the word "rind" as you can see on the top left hand side of the screen. I thought I was safe since Ben only had 6 letters left and I was in the lead. Ben then played the word "amateur" using all of his letters on a triple word score thus blowing me out of the water. Before sending it to me he said "Don't take this personally, but...." I thought it was the best end of a game ever. Too bad it wasn't me who played it.

It's a BOY!

Today we found out we are having a boy. We are so excited. I love all of my little nephews and probably wouldn't know what to do if I had a girl. Now all we have to do is agree on a name!!!

Bikes and Las Vegas

Last week we went to Las Vegas to attend a bike trade show with our friends. Ben's friend is the manager of a shop here in Utah and got us passes to attend. We had a great time and got to attend a professional cyclocross race while we were there.

Trina and I excited to attend the trade show. I think this is the first picture I have posted of me being pregnant.

This is the bike Ben wants

And this is the bike that I want

But the best part was getting to see these little boys and their brother Jackson. Jackson isn't in any of the pictures cause he was at school each time the camera was pulled out.

We even had time to eat at our favorite breakfast place The New Day Cafe. Isaac kept eating all of the lemons at the table and then making this cute face.

Family in Town

Last week Ben's sister and her family were in town before they moved to Japan. Her husband is a doctor in the Navy and will be stationed there for the next three years. We ate a lot, hung out, watch some movies, shot some guns, and took some pictures.

Hiking Timp

When Ben was 16 he and three of his best friends made a time capsule and buried it in a meadow on Mt. Timpanogos. For those of you not from around here, Timp is the big mountain that looks over our county. Last Wednesday they decided to hike Timp and find the time capsule.

Here are the boys headed up the mountain.

Digging up the Time Capsule

And look it was still there after 14 years

Ben is so lucky to have such a great group of friends for all these years.

We Moved

In April we put our condo up for sale. After about two weeks we decided that we didn't actually want to move, so we took the signs down. In June a girl knocked on our door and asked if we would be interested in selling our place. We told her how much we wanted and she said she would think about it. In July she came back with her offer and we moved out at the end of the month. We loved our condo and will miss living there, but know this is a good thing for us. Currently we are living in my Grandma's basement. It is a very good situation for all of us since we can save more money and she has someone around to make food, clean and be there if she needs anything. It is a great time to buy a house and we are excited to see where we end up, but we aren't in too big of a hurry. Let us know if you see a great deal somewhere in the Utah County area.

Salt Lake City

Ben and I decided to go on vacation again, but since we didn't have any time off and we had to be at church on Sunday we vacationed in Salt Lake City. We had a great time. We stayed at the Hotel Monaco, which was a great hotel. We didn't take this picture but it is exactly what our room looked like.

Ben has been promising to take me to The Melting Pot for almost 2 years, so he made true to his promise. I loved it, all of the food was so good. I don't know if I would ever go there again for the whole four course meal, but I would definitely do the cheese and dessert part again.
The next morning we went Antiquing which is a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. Then we went to the Red Iguana which has the best Mexican food ever. After that we went and saw the movie UP. We had the best weekend. I think it was more relaxing than actually going out of town since you don't have to worry about catching flights or driving too long of a distance.
