New Shoes

I have been meaning to buy Lincoln shoes for a couple of weeks, but have never gotten around to it. The other day he was at Grandma Jones and when I went to pick him up he had new shoes. Lincoln is lucky to have two wonderful grandmas, and even luckier that one lives so close. She has supplied him with 3/4 of his current wardrobe.

Lincoln has been able to crawl backwards for about three weeks, and on Tuesday night he finally started moving forward also. Since that time I have realized everything in our house needs to be babyproofed and that my shower routine needs to change. I got out of the shower one day to find he had opened the cupboard, taken out the shaving cream, taken off the lid, and was sucking on the nozzle. The next day he crawled over to the toilet, pulled himself up on his knees, and was licking the toilet seat. Apparently the toy blockade is no match for his new found skills. I would just wait for his nap, but both times I was trying to get ready before his nap so he could take it at Grandmas while I ran into work. I guess it is time to trap him in his crib. In spite of all the added drama his crawling has created, I am so excited for him. You can tell he is so proud of himself and he loves to be able to get around. Well, you can't tell that in this picture but he still looks cute.

What a cute, big boy! Don't trap him in his crib... get a baby gate and trap him in a safe bedroom. He looks so old. BethAnn is so lucky to live by him!
